This half day tour takes in the best of Florence, the city of Michelangelo, beginning in one of the most beautiful panoramic spots in the world: Piazzale Michelangelo, where you have a birds’ eye view of Florence’s most famous sights right below you.
From the piazza bearing his name, you will proceed to the Accademia Gallery to see the some of his original masterpieces including Michelangelo’s David, and the unique opportunity to see some of his unfinished works including the Prisoners series.
After marveling at Michelangelo, we finish the tour with a brief Florence walking tour, ending in the Piazza Duomo, to see the spectacular Baptistry with its gold plated and bronze doors including the famous “Gate of Paradise,” Giotto’s Bell Tower and of course the Duomo, Florence’s famous cathedral, with its striking dome.
